Personal correspondence and accounts of Wilson concerning family members and especially the education of his children, Franklin Pope Wilson (b. 1906) and Theodate Pope Wilson Sowers (b. 1902); visits to Battle Creek Sanitarium in Michigan; and the diagnosis and treatment of Wilson's diabetes. Also includes business correspondence and accounts concerning Wilson's activities as agent for the New England Mutual Life Insurance Company, membership in the Loudoun County Community Association and Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers Association, and dealings with the foreman at Oak Knoll Farm concerning dairy operations and tenant farmers. Also includes correspondence and accounts concerning construction of a stone house at Oak Knoll Farm as the Wilson family's primary residence.

Franklin Pope Wilson, a graduate of Swarthmore College, was a prominent Quaker dairy farmer and businessman from Northern Virginia. Extensively involved in local Quaker, business, and community affairs in the Purcellville area of Loudoun County, Va., he and his family lived in Washington, D.C., and at Oak Knoll Farm in Loudoun County.
